Research into title sequences
Research into title sequences
A title sequence introduces the film and the people involved in it. This can include actors and actresses or people in charge of developing the film; such as directors and producers.
A title sequence can be done in various ways.
Title sequences can blend into the background of a clip or they can demand attention by coming into the audience’s view through special effects.
An example of this is the title sequence of the film psycho. The title sequence is the main focus, as we are not shown any visual clips; and the words are accompanied by music as they flash across the screen.

Analysis of studio ident and name chosen for Production Company
The name of the Production Company is 'Happy Days'.

This is our production logo for our company Happy Days.
With the rainy weather we can represent the rainy country of Britain -which is where our company is based/from. It is not on a huge scale because we are a small independent company.
Also, it is ironic as we do not usually asscociate this weather with happiness. This can represent how people find joy through our thriller films.
Justification of film title
The title of the thriller is 'After Eight'
The title is named "After 8" because it is short, which enables the audience to remember, instead of a longer name, which is not memorable. It also has a dinner theme as most people may have their dinner around the 8 o'clock time. The dinner theme, is a strong aspect throughout our film. The "After Eight," agenda is to highlight in the audience's mind that is something to do with eating, or consuming. Additionally, the name triggers thoughts of night, which emphasise a dark theme. Conclusively, "After Eight" leads to various possibilities of what could happen; mysterious, erie and dark atmosphere, which contains conventions of a thriller.
